Please read these Terms carefully before using the UniScout app. By creating an account or making a purchase you agree to them.

1. Who we are
The UniScout app and website (collectively, the "Service") are operated by UniScout Technologies Pvt. Ltd., a company incorporated in India with its registered office in Mumbai, India ("UniScout", "we", "us", "our"). References to "you" or "User" mean any individual who registers for or otherwise uses the Service.
2. Eligibility & account
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18 you confirm that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the Service. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity on your account.
3. What the Service does — and does not — do

UniScout helps you research, compare and shortlist universities and programmes worldwide using aggregated public data and AI-assisted analysis.

Recommendations, rankings, eligibility checks and fit scores are decision-support tools. They are not admissions guarantees, career advice or a substitute for professional counselling.

Final admission decisions rest exclusively with the universities you apply to. UniScout has no relationship with, and cannot influence the decisions of, any university.
•
Essay review, advisor chat and similar AI features are generated by third-party large language models. Output may contain inaccuracies — please review before relying on it.
4. Credits, pricing and payments
Access to AI-powered features is paid via pre-purchased "Credits". Package prices, the Credits included and the per-feature deduction are listed on the Pricing and Add Credits screens and may change from time to time. Once you purchase Credits:

Credits are deducted only when you successfully run a paid feature.
•
Credits are not transferable to another account and have no cash value.
•
Payments are processed by Razorpay. UniScout does not store your card / bank details.
•
All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
5. Refunds
Refund requests are reviewed case-by-case. Please see our separate Refund & Cancellation policy for the full process and timelines.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
•
Scrape, bulk-download or redistribute university data or AI output from the Service.
•
Reverse-engineer, decompile or probe the Service for vulnerabilities.
•
Use the Service to harass others, transmit unlawful content, or submit content you don't own.
•
Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any institution.
•
Use automation to create multiple accounts or inflate credit balances.
7. User content
You retain ownership of any content you upload (for example, essays submitted for review). You grant UniScout a limited, royalty-free licence to process that content solely to operate, improve and provide the Service to you. We will not sell your essays or personal content to third parties.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, scoring methodology and aggregated university data, is the property of UniScout Technologies Pvt. Ltd. or its licensors. Except for the limited right to use the Service as intended, no rights are granted to you.
9. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties including Razorpay (payments), Resend (transactional email) and OpenAI / Anthropic / Google (large language models). Their terms and privacy policies apply to data they process on our behalf.
10. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, misuse the Service, or if required by law. You may close your account at any time by emailing support@uniscout.com. On termination, unused Credits are generally forfeit unless refunded under our Refund policy.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, UniScout disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI output will be accurate.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, UniScout's total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service — whether in contract, tort or otherwise — will not exceed the total amount you paid to UniScout in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including loss of admission, scholarship, or opportunity.
13. Governing law & jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. You and UniScout submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mumbai, India for any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via in-app notice or email at least 7 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
